Asia Martello

Asia works under the Debt Free Advice partnership for South West London Law Centres as a Senior Money Adviser. She joined the Debt Free Advice partnership in September 2020 as an Advice Assistant, qualifying as a Money Adviser after one year. 

She studied Law at University College London (UCL), graduating in August 2020. Throughout her degree she worked on UNESCO projects to protect local community heritage in rural areas of Europe. She also interned at a few ‘no win no fee’ law firms, where she talked to clients who had suffered discrimination at the workplace or unfair dismissal, and volunteered in the welfare benefits team at Community Links. This drew her attention to the poverty and deprivation too many people still face.  

Asia decided to move into money and debt advice to directly help people who are having problems with money. She discovered that advice work can play a big role in helping community members get access to support and resources that they are entitled to. She’s passionate about helping people, and thinks feeling on top of your money is an important part of being able to enjoy life.
